Peter Aerts to Retire from Kickboxing, Set to Face Tyrone Spong in June

Kickboxing superstar Peter Aerts has announced his retirement from the sport. He will end his career when he enters the ring against Tyrone Spong at an It's Showtime event on June 30 in the Netherlands. Aerts, more fondly known by fans as "The Dutch Lumberjack" or "Mr. K-1", is a three-time K-1 world champion.

Recently, Aerts met Kazuyuki Fujita in an IGF rules (pro wrestling) bout at Dream's "Fight for Japan" New Year's Eve event. We will probably see Aerts take up more pro wrestling in his post-retirement career.
