Move over 'Basketball Wives', UFC Wives on the Way?!?!

Kim Couture, female MMA
fighter and former wife of
Randy Couture, is rumored
to cast on UFC Wives.
In the ever-evolving world of reality television, you can never run out of ideas, but there comes a point where some ideas are just overkill. I think we've reached that point...

Right now, Basketball Wives: LA is one of the hottest shows on television, especially with the 2011-2012 NBA season on the fritz. But, another sport might be following in the footsteps of Basketball Wives. The cameras behind The Ultimate Fighter are talking about producing a reality series dedicated to the romantic counterparts of UFC fighters -- UFC Wives??? Really?

Via Chud.com:
From the producers of The Ultimate Fighter and UFC Unleashed, a reality television series is in the works on the Spike cable television network by production company Shed Media US, Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta and its parent company, Zuffa, LLC. The series follows the lives of a group of women who have all been somehow romantically linked to professional Ultimate Fighter contenders. To the casual observer, the world of Mixed Martial Arts is intense, exciting and riveting full of power and the fame. But behind the scenes, it can be a difficult world to navigate, dealing with hard filled days of endless training, traveling, weight management, getting a fight nonetheless winning. It is said to be even harder still for women who are trying to find their lane as they navigate their professional and love lives in a world where opportunity, fame, excitement and money are always in sight but sometimes just out of reach.
With a roster of well over 300+ fighters, it would be considered a hard task for the producers to narrow down the cast as only 12 episodes is set for the pilot premiere season. Not so. Zuffa has their eye set on several women to approach with the series that will take the stance of the partner, both present and past. The show will not feature the fighter as the focus. It will be formatted similar to the Countdown to UFC show that is featured leading up to all UFC title fights.

Rumored Cast:
Kim Couture who was married to former three-time UFC Heavyweight Champion and two-time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture. Kim and Randy filed for a bitter divorce with claims of infidelity on both parts in 2009. She is currently a mixed martial artist in the Strikeforce organization.

He left Nicole in 2003 and their new born daughter in order to begin a relationship with Rena "Sable" Mero who had been recently divorced from Marc Mero. Lesnar and Mero were engaged in 2004, separated in 2005, then reconciled later that year and married on May 6, 2006, then filed for divorce. Both women have claimed domestic violence and both have written a book on life with the highest paid UFC fighter.

Alie Sonoma: Former maybe ex fiancée of Diego Sanchez and former temporary ring girl for the UFC. Ali was a firecracker of a girlfriend and was heavily blamed for Sanchez' down falling performance while they dated. His only career loses were during their failed relationship and it was rumored that she would not allow him to train or take fights under a certain monetary level. Sonoma and Sanchez would soon split in 2009 in a fight to end all fights after one of his loses. She hosted a reality show in 2008 and it's rumored she has films coming out soon-yes, its porn.

Flavia Masoni: Dean Listers ex wife. Flavia is from Brazil where Dean met her while fighting in the Mundials World Jiu-Jitsu Championship. They quickly hit it off, and after winning the ADCC, Dean bought Flavia a plane ticket to come stay with him. They were married less than 2 months later and divorced three years later. Before his fight with Arona in Pride they got into a public big argument in and she said to him before his fight was "I hope you get your f**king a** kicked." He said it was the only words he could think about as he entered the ring, which would be his career ending loss. Over the years both have publicly feuded and he is rumored to have had her fired at the station where she was a reporter as well as leaking sex tapes of the two of them.

Mellissa Farand: The ex heartbreaking throb of once ranked #1 Welterweight contender Thiago Alves. The dynamic duo had it all set in motion as both their successful careers were high profile. Where she would he would be and vice versa. Their happy union was cut short and undisclosed as rumors of their separation surfaced in 2010 after Alves missed weight for a 2nd time and was demolished by Jon Fitch. Soon after interviews and press would circle of the two from none other than the horse's mouth, Alves, claiming negative and positive attempts to resurface their past. Melissa is a vixen in the UFC community and is the only active female executive in the worlds largest MMA clothing distributor, TapouT, LLC.

Jennifer Mir– Wife of Frank Mir. They are the old American love story. She worked at a high class Vegas gentlemen’s club, and Mir parlayed this attraction into a moneymaking gig manning the door at the aforementioned gentleman’s club. Soon after they would be married like a Brady Bunch love tale. She may have the biggest mouth in the UFC, calling out fighters and trash talking Jenna Jameson on Twitter, but she’s got a great big heart to go along with it.

Joana Prado– Wife of Vitor Belfort. She has been a Playboy Brazil covergirl and mother to Vitor’s three children. She is a national treasure in Brazil involved in charity and fundraisers all over the world. Vitor is rumored to have her on chain and lock and will not allow her to be anywhere without security often mistaken as “babysitters.”
