As quoted in Sherdog.com:
“This belt has so much history, I’m happy to have it. But, it has the title ‘interim’ attached to it. I want to erase that part, so please let me face Marlon Sandro.”Don't expect Sandro to answer that request. The Brazilian fighter appears to be right at home with Bellator, as he just made a Featherweight Tournament Final run. Fighting in the U.S. had been a long-time goal for Sandro who hasn't fought for Pancrase since winning the title in 2008.
Also, undefeated female fighter Rin Nakai remains flawless after fighting British fighter Danielle West to a draw. The ruling brings Nakai's unbeaten record to 10-0-1. West came into the bout with a humble 3-2 record, but as Nakai herself described it, "I haven’t had a fight that competitive before..." (Sherdog). So, either Nakai just had a bad day, the 15 lb weight difference truly played a factor, Danielle West is just that good, or this bout was an expose of how poor Nakai's previous competition has been. The solution: bring Rin Nakai to the U.S. (Strikeforce) -- Ronda Rousey, Cris 'Cyborg' Santos, Amanda Nunes, Julia Budd -- point blank, period.
