EFC Africa 10 Results & Leftovers: Jakobi and Pena New Welterweight and Featherweight Kings

Demarte Pena is the EFCA's
first145 lb. Champ.
New kings were crowned in South Africa today. Dallas Jakobi endured a first round triangle choke, and a rough starting second round in a back-and-forth title fight. After overcoming an early assault by Adam Speechly, Jakobi led an offensive of his own, stealing the later rounds. At the end of the night, it was Dallas Jakobi leaving Big Top Arena bearing the EFCA Welterweight strap.

In featherweight title action, Demarte Pena stayed flawless, improving to 3-0 while securing the EFC's first Featherweight Title. The Muay Thai specialist showed early signs of Shane Carwin-like lactic acidosis following a series of takedowns, but stay the course and become the Extreme Fighting Championship's first Featherweight Champion.
