RUFF China to Put on Demonstrations at Nike Sports Festival

What better sports brand to associate with than Nike? The sports and apparel brand fronts big names like Michael Jordan (Air Jordan brand), LeBron James, and Anderson Silva.

Upstart Chinese mixed martial arts promotion Ranik Ultimate Fighting Federation has found itself in good company with Nike. RUFF will put on mixed martial arts demonstrations at the Nike Festival of Sports at the brand new Shanghai Stadium Basketball Park.

This event will be huge! And with RUFF China taking MMA center stage, China's newest promotion is set to make their presence known in a big way!

RUFF's inaugural event, "Genesis", is set for August 27.

The Nike Festival of Sports will take place August 18-21. LeBron James, pro skateboarder Paul 'P-Rod' Rodriguez, and Olypmic Gold winning hurdler Liu Xiang will be in attendance at the festival. A full schedule of events is on deck.

RUFF MMA at Nike Festival of Sport
on Tuesday, 16 August 2011.

From August 19th – 21st, Shanghai-based Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promoter RUFF, will participate in the upcoming Nike Festival of Sport (FOS) as part of our mission to educate the Chinese public about MMA and foster the development of an organic Chinese MMA culture.

Appearing in the FOS North Exhibition Hall, the RUFF interactive zone will feature demonstrations and training sessions with RUFF’s fighters, all of who will be appearing in RUFF’s upcoming debut event RUFF: Genesis on August 27th at the Shanghai QiZhong Tennis Center, as well as our 9-x-9 meter cage, where FOS guests can gain a better understanding of the MMA playing field.

In addition to our fan-friendly exhibit, where we will be raffling off tickets to RUFF: Genesis and offering guests the chance to meet some of China’s top MMA fighters, we will also be partnering with MMA clubs and schools around China, including Club Hero and Shanghai BJJ, to help build a stronger awareness of Chinese Mixed Martial Arts.
