GURAM IS COMING!!! No, he really is this time (we hope)!

American MMA fans were supposed to welcome top heavyweight prospect Guram Gugenishvili to US soil last month. However, a training injury sidelined Guram, prompting his removal from a July 8 title fight against Pat Bennett. Kenny Garner stepped in to replace Gugenishvilli and defeated Bennett for the second time in his career.

Now, M-1 Global's heavyweight storyline is set to climax on October 14 when reigning M-1 Global World Heavyweight Champion Guram Gugenishvili is scheduled to taps gloves with current M-1 Selection Americas Heavyweight Champion Kenny Garner. The bout presents a highly anticipated rematch, as Gugenishvili holds a submission victory over Garner from their October 2010 title meeting.

The event will showcase two other title fights as Vinny Magalhaes and Jose Figueroa both make their first M-1 world title defense appearances. Light Heavyweight titleholder Vinny Magalheas will face face M-1 veteran Mikhail Zayats, and M-1 Lightweight Champ Jose Figueroa meets well-traveled German Daniel Weichel.

M-1 Challenge XXVII will air live on Showtime on October 14 at 11pm ET.

Full card (subject to change) after the break...
