Dream 17 Match-Ups Are In!!!

DREAM is steady on their grind. The Japanese mixed martial arts promotion is maintaining a strong buzz despite constant setbacks on the JMMA front. Their latest effort, DREAM 17, is just another step toward proving that Japanese MMA is far from dead.

DREAM 17 will feature the promotion's World Bantamweight Grand Prix. A press conference was held to announce match-ups for the tournament.

Former KOTC 135 lb. Champion Abel Cullum is in the mix, searching for a big win over Masakazu Imanari. Cullum is down two losses in a row and Imanari lost to fellow GP participant Hideo Tokoro last month in the Japan Bantamweight Grand Prix Final. Meanwhile, Tokoro, DREAM's Japan GP winner, will square off against WEC veteran Antonio Banuelos. One-time DREAM featherweight titleholder Bibiano Fernandes looks to avenge a loss against Takafumi Otsuka in his bantamweight debut, while rising Brazilian import Rodolfo Marques Diniz takes on undefeated prospect Yusup Saadulaev.

Official pairings for the DREAM World Bantamweight GP:
Masakazu Imanari vs. Abel Cullum.
Hideo Tokoro vs. Antonio Banuelos.
Bibiano Fernandes vs. Takafumi Otsuka
Rodolfo Marques vs. Yusup Saadulaev

Non-Grand Prix bouts:
Tatsuya Kawajiri vs. Joachim Hansen
Shinya Aoki vs. Rob McCullough
Satoru Kitaoka vs. Willamy Freire
Takeshi Inoue vs. Caol Uno
