Yesterday Was "Doomsday" for John Howard, Released from the UFC

Don't get it twisted, three is not a lucky number, at least not for John "Doomsday" Howard who was just released from the UFC yesterday following three straight losses.

Howard made his UFC debut at UFC 94 back in 2009, starting his UFC tenure with a "Fight of the Night" bonus after pulling off a split decision against Chris Wilson. He followed up with three straight wins, including a notable KO over Dennis Hallman and a "Knockout of the Night" win over Daniel Roberts.

Doomsday's three-fight loosing streak began with a TKO loss to Jake Ellenberger in which Howard endured a softball size hematoma, and back-to-back decisions to Thiago Alves and Matt Brown.

John Howard is staying positive and says he is looking to secure a deal with Bellator or Dream.
