Ringside MMA 11 Leftovers: Patrick Cote Backs Up Pimp Slap, Donald Brashear Takes Ice Aggression to Cage

I guess pimp slapping Todd Brown at the weigh-ins wasn't enough for Patrick Cote. The former UFC middleweight made quick and easy work of fellow UFC veteran Todd Brown, defeating him via unanimous decision. Cote was released from the UFC following a UFC 121 loss to Tom Lawlor in October 2010. The former UFC middleweight contender is now two fights removed from his UFC release -- both victories. His two fights with Ringside satisfies his two-fight contract with the Canadian promotion. Is two wins good enough to render a UFC return? If not, I'm sure there will be more pimp-slapping from Cote in the future!

Meanwhile, professional hockey player Donald Brashear put a 'dub' in the win column in his MMA debut. Known as an aggressive enforcer, it was Brashear's responsibility to knock mother f*****s out when they got out of line on the ice. Taking that same attitude to the cage, Brashear earned an early first round victory over Mathieu Bergeron. Brashear is a former NHL player who currently plays for the 3L Riviere-du-Loup of the North American Hockey League.
