Techniques of the Week: The Andrew Bynum Clothesline and the Lamar Odom Elbow

You know it's a slow week in the MMA world when we're referring to professional basketball for technical pointers.

This week's technical series comes from none other than two of the NBA's latest flagrant foul experts -- the L.A. Lakers' Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom. Frustrated with a dominating Dallas Mavericks team in game four of the Western Conference semifinals, Bynum and Odom called on their killer instincts. Both fighters utilized some violent fouling techniques to show their frustration in the fourth quarter of the game. As Dallas Mavericks guard J.J. Barea went up for a lay-up, Lakers center Andrew Bynum caught Barea with a swinging clothesline right out of TNA. Moments later Lamar Odom threw a sharp elbow into Dirk Nowitzki's arm. Not at all a surprise for either player. I'm sure Odom received a few hand-to-hand combat lessons from his wife, Khloe Kardashian, one known for random bar fights.
