UFC 127 Leftovers [Video and Quick Results]

Video Props: UFC.com

I'm still trying to stomach this one.

While my tummy naggingly churns my fight-watching snack of corn dogs and Budweiser Select, I can't help but to think that maybe the judges had more beer than I did. The results of UFC 127's main event simply baffle me (maybe it'll make more sense after the beer settles). Jon Fitch's third round campaign probably should've earned him a split decision, but I have to consider if my eyes had to compete with Arianny Celeste or two sweaty guys rolling around, my scorecard would be screwed up too.

I guess we just have to come to grips with the fact that draws are a reality of fighting. Whether we like them or not, draws happen. Granted, I would've scored the fight differently, I also understand that the fight game is constantly changing. We see draws quite often under international rules in other countries, and the same is inevitable for unified rules contests. As competition only gets tighter and tighter, we should expect to see more draws in the future. With time we'll get used to draw rulings, but some of us may never get used to Jon Fitch's boring style.
