Pre-MFC 27 Comments from Mark Pavelich

Tonight the Maximum Fighting Championships will host its twenty-seventh event, "Breaking Point". The card will feature a welterweight title fight between hot prospect Douglas Lima and Body Shop Fitness team member Jesse Juarez in the main event. In other action, Ryan Ford will make his second appearance since returning from a year-long departure from the MFC. He will face journeyman Pete Spratt in a well-awaited rematch. Ford defeated Spratt with a second round rear naked choke back in 2008. Also, Rodney Wallace steps in to replace Glover Teixeira, as he will face fellow UFC veteran David Heath in a light heavyweight showdown. Two promising up-and-comers will fill a second light heavyweight bout as Dwayne Lewis and Razak Al-Hassan take to the cage. Hassan's last and only two losses were sufferred in a brief stint with the UFC. He has since regained his footing with a four fight win streak. The fight will determine top contention in the MFC's light heavyweight division. Rounding out the card, jiu jitsu specialist Kajan Johnson and WEC veteran Ryan Healy will meet to provide some lightweight flair.

The MMA Hotwire staff caught up with Mark Pavelich last night to render the following pre-fight thoughts:
...Buy a ticket watch it Live on HDNET. This will be the best MMA Fights of the year! Bet on it, and I'm not kidding. Any country, any organization. This is the one!
