Top Boxing Female Holly Holm Becomes newest Top Female MMA Prospect

MMA fans no longer hold their breath when news of a boxer considering cage action hits the wire. You can thank one overweight, overzealous James Toney for that. But, perhaps we should consider MMA's newest top prospect -- Holly Holm, the current women's undisputed junior welterweight world champion. It was recently announced that Holly plans to step into the cage some time in 2011. Holm's boxing coach is none other than Mike Winkeljohn, sidekick to popular MMA coach Greg Jackson.

Holm will square off with Ann Marie Saccurato for the IBA Junior Welterweight World Title on December 3, 2010. It will be their second meeting. Holm defeated Saccurato by way of unanimous decision in the first meeting.
