Erwann Marshall's Film "Numb" Deals with Fighting and Life

Erwann Marshall's critically acclaimed short film "Numb" is a gritty story about an aspiring mixed martial arts fighter ("Tyler, played by Scottie Epstein), who deals with the ails of everyday life, while getting ready for a career-deciding fight. The 22 minute film received "Best Actress" honors from the Edgemar Short Film Festival for Shannon Lucio's role as "Maggie," Tyler's ex-girlfriend.

On a side note, 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu was well represented througout the film. Main character "Tyler" was played by 10th Planet black belt Scott Epstein. Tyler (Epstein) and other fighters in his gym sported 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu throughout the film. 10th Planet founder Eddie Bravo's "Put Ur Weed Up" was featured on the soundtrack, and a classic bong scene definitely gives the film an Eddie Bravo-ish feel.

Official tagline:
"While preparing for the biggest fight of his life, a mixed martial arts fighter comes to terms with what it means to be a father and a son."
