The Sharks Own These Waters: Shark Fights 13 Promo

The Ultimate Fighting Championships has for long ruled the top of the MMA food chain, but day by day it appears that other smaller, regional promotions are progressively climbing the mixed martial arts evolutionary ladder. Amarillo, Texas-based Shark Fights continues to prove its place as top shark in the mean waters of MMA, and if Shark Fights 13 is any indication, Shark Fights may prove to be the UFC's next Darwinistic threat.

Shark Fights will showcase its thirteenth installment this Friday, September 11, with a war card that swags heavy bouts like Keith Jardine vs. Trevor Prangley and Rameau Soukoudjou vs. Houston Alexander for the co-main events to top a card filled with established names (see the complete fight card below).

To put the cherry on top MMA legends Bas Rutten and Don Frye will man the commentator's table. At this point, you're probably asking yourself: "which will be more entertaining, the ridiculously stacked fight card, or the two insane-crazy retired cagemasters behind the mics?" I don't have the answer to that question but if you are able to scrounge up the last SF 13 tickets or tune into the pay-per-view on Saturday, that question should be answered in bomb blitzing fashion.

One last pleasure pleaser: the SF 13 undercard will broadcast live on on Saturday, September 11 at 8pm ET!!!

Get ready, Amarillo, for a night of fights the whole world will be watching.

In the Main Event, he's one of the best known fighters in the world. A veteran of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), he's beaten some of the best fighters in the world including Brandon "The Truth" Vera, Forrest Griffin and "The Iceman" Chuck Liddell. But this time "The Dean of Mean" Keith Jardine (15-8-1) has more to prove than ever as he tries to come back after his majority decision loss to Matt Hamill. But standing in his way is AKA fighter and Shark Fights Light Heavyweight Champion, Trevor Prangley (22-6-1) who returns to the Shark Cage after his loss to Tim Kennedy.

In the co-main event, Team Quest fighter and UFC Veteran Rameau "The African Assassin" Sokoudjou (9-6-0) comes to Shark Fights ready to battle. Having won his last two fights, he looks to continue his winning streak against the ever explosive UFC Veteran Houston "The Assassin" Alexander (10-6-0).
