Paul Daley signs with Strikeforce (Finally)

To end all rumors. . .

The Middle Easy released breaking news that former UFC welterweight Paul Daley has signed with Strikeforce. The news came early this morning, reporting that Daley contracted six fights with UFC's chief competitor. Additionally, the report reveals that Daley willl face Evangelista 'Cyborg' Santos in his first bout. However, no date for Daley's promotional debut has been disclosed at this time.

Paul still has matches scheduled with two other promotions. He was added to Shark Fights' burgeoning 'Shark Fights 13 card last week, an event which boasts names like Keith Jardine and Houston Alexander. He is also signed to participate in Golden Glory's 'United Glory MMA World Series' event. The series is an eight-bracket tournament, consisting of three events spanning October 2010 to April 2011. The tournament  could match Daley with Japanese flying submission specialist Shinya Aoki, well-traveled Nick Thompson, or head kicker Marius Zaromskis.

Daley joins a competitive welterweight line-up at Strikeforce that includes established fighters Joe Riggs, Nate Diaz, and Bobby Voelker, and up-and-coming mixed martial artist Tyron Woodley.
