Introducing the Cast of TUF 12

The UFC released an sneak peak trailer, introducing the twenty-eight lightweights who will compete to become 'The Ultimate Fighter' of season twelve. TUF 12 will pit UFC welterweights Josh Koscheck and George St. Pierre against each other as rival team coaches.

Points of note:
  • The kid in the 'Bruce Leroy' kung fu banana suit is Alex Caceres. He's a young, twenty-one year old fighter, hailing from Miami, Florida. There's not much to say about this kid just yet, only that he must be carrying the Afro torch left behind by Jamie Yager.
  • It looks like former WEC fighter Mike Budnik is back. A three fight loosing streak with the WEC sent Budnik to semi-pro level shows, but it looks like he's ready to make a statement on TUF.
  • Well-travelled Nam Phan brings a wealth of experience to the TUF 12 series. He's appeared on fight cards with major promotions. Although he's suffered losses against every big name fighter he's faced, at 16-7 Phan has cranked out stoppage wins in all but three of his sixteen wins.

The Pearl At The Palms in Las Vegas on Spike TV. TUF coach Josh Koscheck will challenge rival coach and current UFC Welterweight Champion George St. Pierre in a title fight to be aired via pay-per-view.
