Fedor Calls Out Overeem, but It Doesn't Matter

I'm sure you've probably seen massive articles on your favorite MMA blogs and websites about Fedor "calling out" Alistair Overeem, but the Hotwire won't waste too much ad space on this issue. The reason is simple: Fedor and M-1 are pulling out their last few tricks. In the wake of Fedor Emelianenko's devasting loss to Fabricio Werdum, in addition to being in the middle of a financial downfall, M-1 needs publicity stunts to stay buoyant, and this ladies and gentleman is simply part M-1 Global's latest desperation efforts. When Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker first presented the Fedor vs. Overeem idea, M-1 and Fedor insisted on pushing for a Fedor vs. Fabricio Werdum rematch. However, now it appears their Vodka-induced minds have changed, and suddendly Fedor "calls out" Alistair Overeem? I think Mr. Coker should pump the breaks on this one, and focus on more relevant issues like: who Dan Henderson should fight next, or promoting Nick Diaz's next welterweight challenge.
