NBC steps game up with Women's MMA reality show

Watch out 'Ultimate Fighter,' there's a new MMA reality show sheriff in town.

NBC's latest venture will take the reality show craze into the realm of women's mixed martial arts with "Ultimate Women Challenge."

The premise:
"Sixteen beautiful yet fierce fighting women trade their comfortable lives to compete and train with the best MMA fighters in the world and put their new skills to a test in a brutal environment of becoming the new "Ultimate Womens Combat Champion".

The show, hosted by mixed martial arts great Bas Rutten and actress/glamor model Joanna Krupa, will feature many popular names in Women's mixed martial arts, to include Cris 'Cyborg' Santos, Tara LaRosa, and Roxanne Modefferi.

On the fight roster:
Alexis Davis
Angela Hayes
Angela Magana
Brandi Hainey
Collen Schneider
Heather Jo Clark
Jessica Aguilar
Julie Kedzie
Karina Hallinan
Kristina Molina
Lacey Schuckman
Martha Benavides
Melissa Steele
Michelle Ould
Michelle Vera
Patricia Vidonic

Reconnaissance Report:
Judging by the trailer, I can give the production staff an 'A' for effort, but the production quality appears second rate. Then again, so was the "Tapout Show," but the gritty video appearance added to the overall hardcore theme. Let's wait and see how NBC blends femininity and hardcore.
